D.J Ed "Get Down" Crosby
Intensity and creativity is no stranger to this Chicago native. For 25 year, Ed Crosby has blended, created, and programmed unprecedented combinations of vocals, bass lines, drum tracks, and melodies for many secular artist. His music career began at the young age of 14 as he worked to support his mother and two younger sisters mixing disco and house tracks.
After many years of working the club scene in 1985, Ed became a member of the famed Hot Mix 5 at WMBX (now WVAZ). He established himself to his many listeners as Ed “Get Down” Crosby. As his popularity and mix show prominence increased, he ultimately made the move in 1986 to WGCI-FM. Edward’s first opportunity for nationwide exposure came by the way of WGCI radio personality Marco Spoon with the “Super Mix Dance Party” where he served as the show’s mixer, broadcasting in over 45 markets.
Beyond the radio and club mixes, he transferred his hit –mixing disc jockey skills into a viable role as remixer and entrepreneur. In 1990, he launched Get Down Productions where he served as President and C.E.O. In 1992 he was contacted by Barbara Lester, Program Director for WKYS –FM in Washington D.C., to serve as the mix show DJ for the Mega mix Dance Party. This transition led the mix show to increased exposure and popularity into even broader demographics. Ed came to Christ in 1996, this changed the direction of his life. Despite, the opposition experiences, he continues to be established by God as a trailblazer in the Christian and Inspirational Power Jam on Gospel Radio 106. Ed’s “inspirational Jams” were broadcast in over 12 markets throughout the county on Super Radio. Ed’s “Praise Jams” can now be heard on Gospelhousemusic.com as well as ZKING 101.7 The Voices of the Virgin Islands. Ed is a member of Family Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Steve and Melody Munsey. He is involved with prison ministry where he uses his unique talent to save souls and encourage hearts. Ed is also a member of the National Academy of additionally, he is an active member of the Gospel announcers Guild.
Pam Ross serves as the Executive Administrator for Family Christian Center in Munster, IN, a non-denominational, culturally diverse church body of over 10,000. With a passion for mentoring, Pam teaches leadership in both FCC's Christian Education Department and Cross Bible College.
Pam is a celebrated speaker and trainer, speaking regionally in both Christian and corporate arenas. In 2009, Pam launched Kingdom Leadership Development, inc. KLD is dedicated to helping leaders to perform at their highest level for the service of man and glory of God.
Pam has recently authored her first book, Serving in Ministry and Still Loving God, a survival guide for servant leaders, available in 2010. Her weekly blog, "Mentoring Moments," gives insight, wisdom and encouragement to emerging leaders.
Pam and her husband Ray have been married for over 20 years. Together they have three wonderful daughters.
